L.A. Fashion Week Spring 2010: Bohemian Society

Surreal fashion took a stylish bow at the runway show of Bohemian Society. The Los Angeles–based label showed 27 looks for its Spring 2010 collection Oct. 15 at Fashion at Broadway at the Los Angeles Theater.

Bohemian Society Creative Director and Founder Victor Wilde started with garments ranging from T-shirt dresses, jeans to ponchos. He put a surreal twist on these fashions by shredding them with scissors and adding graphics, including hamburgers and the composer Beethoven’s face. Other styles got the surreal look by being hand dyed. Following an extreme, surreal logic, he distressed a few pieces by shooting them with a 45 caliber gun.—Andrew Asch
