Project Angel Food's Divine Design to Honor CFDA's Kolb, Barbie

The 17th annual Project Angel Food Divine Design charity shopping event, held Dec. 3–7 in Beverly Hills, will honor Steven Kolb, executive director of the Council of Fashion Designers of America, as its “Man of Style.” Barbie, the Mattel doll, will receive the “Divine Design Fashion Icon” award and be featured in a runway show during the opening-night gala.

Other honorees include Joe Zee, creative director of Elle magazine, as Divine Design’s honorary fashion chair and Elle Deacute;cor Editor in Chief Margaret Russell and interior designer Michael Smith as the event’s honorary home co-chairs. A “Woman of Style” will be announced at a later date.

The event—which will include 30,000 square feet of donated fashion, beauty, home and accessories goods—draws more than 10,000 shoppers each year. Proceeds from Divine Design benefit Project Angel Food, the only free meal-delivery program serving all of Los Angeles County.

The opening-night gala is set for Dec. 3 at 9900 Wilshire Blvd. in Beverly Hills. For more information, visit www.divinedesign.org.—Erin Barajas
