Guild Draws Specialty Retailers

The fledgling Guild show held its third edition off the Strip at the Palms Place Hotel and Spa Aug. 31–Sept. 2. Billed as an anti-trade show, Guild welcomed approximately 30 men’s, women’s, footwear and accessories brands, with each brand camped out in its own suite. Jason Fischer, the show’s organizer, estimated approximately 125 retailers walked the show, including buyers from Urban Outfitters, Revolve Clothing, Ron Herman, The Closet, Lane Crawford, Isetan, Barneys Japan and American Rag.

On its exhibitor roster were brands such as CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund nominee Esquivel, Unholy Matrimony, Bing Bang, Apolis Activism and Reigning Champ.

Toronto-based T-shirt line Jing was among Guild’s first-time exhibitors. The men’s and women’s collection is made from bamboo and features printed graphics discretely placed inside the shirts. Rep Ashlee White of the Indigo Showroom in New York said the line was received well thanks, in part, to an attractive price point—wholesale prices start at $29 for the women’s styles and $39 for the men’s.—Erin Barajas
