New Look for FashionWeekLA.com

Somebody’s had some work done!

FashionWeekLA.com, the fashion week calendar site run by Jen Uner, founder of the L.A. Fashion Awards, unveiled a whole new look this week.

The redesign by EMC2Web.com includes a whole host of new features, including registration, which will help attendees keep up with new additions to the calendar and will help FashionWeekLA gather data, which will be shared with designers and event producers.

Other features include “The List,” which links to some of Los Angeles’ best-known boutiques, designers, brands, blogs and publications--including California Apparel News. There are links to event producers, trade shows and online sale sites, as well as a list of “Trade Tools,” which includes everything from the Los Angeles Fashion District to Getty Images and WGSN.

Registration is free and visitors who register will receive contact information to RSVP for certain Los Angeles Fashion Week events. Qualified press and buyers will receive invitations to industry-only and invite-only events. And their contact information will be forwarded to event producers. Qualified designers, press and industry members who register will also receive discounts for TheContactListOnline.com, TheFashionList.com and GerryImages.com.

The redesign is part of a multi-phase rollout. The next phase will include a new calendar search, sort and download features, powered by TheFashionList.com. The second phase is expected to be in place before the Fall 2010 Fashion Week in March.

In a message to FashionWeekLA visitors, Uner emphasized that “FashionWeekLA.com will be here to support and connect” the industry, adding “We look forward to seeing you in Los Angeles, muchachos.”

Nice job, Jen!
