AA Relaunches Vintage Line
American Apparel is putting the best of its vintage archive up for sale again. The Los Angeles–based apparel manufacturer and retailer will sell a small curated collection of 100 pieces on its e-commerce site (www.americanapparel.com) under the brand name California Select. Originally launched in 2007, the collection features vintage pieces “sourced from out-of-the-way warehouses and flea markets by the company’s buyers in an effort to celebrate classic fashion designs and provide styles that complement the company’s basic garments,” according to the company. California Select was previously sold on Ebay and at 44 retail locations worldwide.
