Watch, Scan, Buy Bluefly

In November, a new technology will allow Bluefly shoppers to pull coupons and content right from their TV screens. The New York–based e-commerce site is using Scanbuy Inc.’s mobile bar-code technology in its “Closet Confessions” ad campaign running on the Bravo cable network. Scanbuy’s ScanLife “Quick Response” codes allow consumers to use their camera phones to grab a $30-off coupon or additional video content during the 45-second spots. The “Closet Confessions” ads feature celebrities sharing style stories and giving tours of their closets.
