Parfait by Affinitas

Since it was launched four years ago, City of Industry, Calif.–based Affinitas has been the answer to youthful and flirty lingerie for the boutique shopper on a budget. Starting with Fall 2010, Affinitas’ new line Parfait by Affinitas will expand the brand’s scope into the full-cup size range. Parfait by Affinitas will run in band sizes of 30–40 and cup sizes D, DD, E, F, FF and G.

Though the Parfait line is under the Affinitas brand, the collection is designed separately and headed by a different designer that specializes in the technical aspects of full-cup sizes. Given Affinitas track record for quality fit, price and on-time shipping, Sales Director Marcia Shally said that the new Parfait label was a success fresh out of the gate.

For Spring 2011 Parfait introduced a baby doll graded in the full range of bra sizes, which is a rarity in the sleepwear market.

Denise Parrott, owner of Understuff in Fort Bragg, Calif., ordered the Parfait by Affinitas line for Fall 2010. She has been successful with Affinitas for her younger customer and said there is “definitely” an increase in demand for full-cup size bras as women are getting naturally larger or getting enhancements.

“I’m so excited to find something in larger cups with small band sizes that are really fashion-forward for the young ones. A lot of the bigger gals, they want to show their cleavage, they don’t want coverage and I think some of these from Parfait are going to definitely fill the bill for that,” Parrott said.

Wholesale price points for Parfait range from $18–$22 for bras and $8–$11 for panties.
