Nice weather. Check. Good food. Check. Good fashion? Check. Time to have a party.

The folks at the Eden boutique in Long Beach’s stylish Belmont Shore neighborhood threw a party July 30. Models cruised through the crowded shindig showing the store’s new styles.

According to Eden buyer Delilah Camacho, the store’s top summer style is a bohemian look with touches of 1970s and 1960s looks.
At the party, a DJ played house music, shoppers sipped sangria and ate cupcakes, and the staff of Eden sold women’s fashions and work of artists such as Katie Monahan and vinyl records stenciled with images.

Ten percent of the event’s art and fashion sales went to non-profit We Are The Movement which provides arts, music, dance, writing activities and instruction to at-risk and foster home youth.

Store owner Alan Hall hopes to produce a similar party at Eden’s sister boutique in San Diego, also named Eden. Party on!
