Tokidoki Parties For The Heck Of It

Last Thursday night set the scene for some furious partying in Los Angeles’ fashion world.Reporters and the style savvy scrambled to the debuts of fashion lines like Banana Republic’s Mad Men Collection, runway shows such as Style LA at Drai’s and big parties like the one at the TA showroom in downtown L.A., all of which took place Thursday night. Which brings us to this blog’s subject. Tokidoki’sSummer Soiree at the Tiara Café on Thursday night.
The reason for the shindig?None really. The Japanese animation/pop culture-inspired fashion and accessories label produced a party just to support the Downtown Art Walk which also took place on Aug. 11 said Pooneh Mohajer, Tokidoki’s co-founder and COO.
DJ Josh One spun tunes, guests chowed down on snow cones and pizza, and Tokidoki’s chief creative officer Simone Legno presided over the shindig as the gracious host. According to Pooneh, the event was just for friends and Tokidoki fans. Wonder if anyone showed up with tattoos of Tokidoki characters? The brand’s Facebook page is filled with pics ofpeople showingoff their Tokidoki ink. Now that’s what I call being true to your fave brand…
