Herve Leger Gets Center Stage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week

Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week may be taking place at Lincoln Center in New York this week but a Los Angeles label will be getting a lot of attention.

Herve Leger by Max Azria has been given the distinguished title of the "Mercedes-Benz Presents" designer, an honor bestowed in the past on Carolina Herrera, Monique Lhuillier, Badgley Mischka and Narciso Rodriguez.

The title is given to designers for their use of quality materials, unique style and innovative design.

As part of the award, Mercedes-Benz is integrating the label's designs into a display called "Bound by Seduction," playing on the fact that much of the line is made up of bandage-weave fabric that hugs the body. The display will include several well-known drresses from past collections that will surround a new, redesigned 2012 Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG.

Herve Leger by Max Azria will be debuting its Fall 2011 collection at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week on Feb. 15.
