Business Brisk at ENK Vegas

The booths were buzzing with retailers reviewing lines and placing orders at ENK Vegas, held Feb. 14–16 at the Wynn Resort.

Lisa Loeff, co-founder of the Community Service Showroom, has been going to ENK for five years and said this season’s business was good but not stellar.

“It was business as usual; there wasn’t a big shift yet,” she said. “We’re still waiting for that, but there is movement, and it feels positive. We did begin to see a lot of people that we hadn’t seen for a while. We’re starting to see [buyers] re-emerge that maybe we hadn’t done business with for a little bit.”

Community Service was showing Rory Beca, Leyendecker, Blue Moon, Blue Life, Rich & Skinny and Wilt and landed orders primarily for Immediate and Summer merchandise, with just a few buyers ready to place Fall orders.

Loeff said the timing of the show, which ran one week before Coterie in New York, was problematic.

“The traffic felt off for a February show—not just at ENK but at the other shows, too,” she said. “The [Vegas] shows are too close to Coterie. They’re back to back, and it waters down traffic.”—Erin Barajas
