Retail Attendance Up at MRketLV

This was the third year for the MRketLV menswear show at The Venetian in Las Vegas. (Previous menswear show The Exclusive changed its name to MRket when it was purchased by the publisher of MR magazine.) Britton Jones, president and chief executive of the show’s organizer, Business Journals Inc., said retail attendance was up 11 percent. “MRket also experienced a surge in international attendance, as the show was shopped by buyers from 35 countries and all 50 states,” Jones said.

Leonard Kang, owner of Christopher Lena men’s shirts in Carson, Calif., was a new exhibitor at MRketLV, while keeping a booth at the MAGIC Marketplace. “It was okay. I think traffic in Las Vegas in general was down,” he said. “We split our orders between the two shows.”—Deborah Belgum
