Maidenform Launches Swimwear
Maidenform Brands, the New York–based intimates maker, has partnered with Commerce, Calif.–based swimwear maker Malibu Dream Girl to launch Maidenform Swimwear for Spring/Summer 2011.
“We are excited to enter into this partnership with Malibu Dream Girl and look forward to extending our iconic Maidenform brand into the swimwear category,” said Maurice Reznik, chief executive officer of Maidenform Brands Inc.
Sold online at Maidenform.com, the new collection incorporates Maidenform’s “Custom Lift” technologies as well as the “lift and support functions” of the brand’s Lilyette bras. Bottom styles include a classic side-tie style with an adjustable high waist, ruffled and classic skirted bottoms, boy shorts, and a side-shirred hipster skirt.
Sizing options include 34A–C, 36B–D and 38B–C in the “Custom Fit” style and 34C–38DD in the “Lift & Support” style. Bottoms are offered in S–XL.
Malibu Dream Girl produces the Gossip, Gossip Collection, Gossip Girl, Liquid Blue, Ocean Dream Collection, Smoothies and Hula Star brands.—E.B.
