New Gift Tenants at the CMC

New wholesale gift and home deacute;cor companies are moving to the California Market Center in Los Angeles, joining the building’s growing Gift and Home Showcase on the 12th floor in the C wing. Rosalie & Friends and World Buyers join Melrose International in opening new showrooms in time for the Gift & Home Market, set for Jan. 17–23.

Already located in the CMC’s Gift & Home Showcase are Drexler Collection and Tainoki Fine Furniture. Two more showrooms are expected to open in time for January’s market, which will also feature several temporary showrooms. The new Gift and Home Showcase space is located beneath the more than 40,000-square-foot California Marketing Associates (CMA) showroom in suite C1300.

“The gift business is changing, and there is a definite tie between the fashion and gift market. Therefore, we feel it is in our best interest to move to the CMC, where fashion, gift and home are already merged,” said Robin Seidel, president of Rosalie & Friends.

The Rosalie & Friends multi-line showroom will feature jewelry; collectibles; books; decorative, fashion and garden accessories; furniture; tabletop; and general gift products. The new corporate showroom for World Buyers will feature more than 50 categories of merchandise, including paperweights, wall art, photo frames, fashion accessories, jewelry, candles, tea light holders, light strings and porcelain.

The next CMC Gift & Home Market runs concurrently with the Jan. 16–19 run of Los Angles Fashion Market.—Alison A. Nieder
