The First Day of Christmas Lasts All Week!

First there was Black Friday, then came Cyber Monday. This year, several retailers kicked the Holiday shopping off on Thanksgiving night, although there’s no consensus on a catchy name for it (may I suggest “Early Bird Thursday”?)

Now off-pricer Liquidnation.com is getting in on the first days of Christmas race with “Restock Tuesday.”

According to Liquidnation, Restock Tuesday—tomorrow, for those of you marking your calendars—is the day when retailers and e-tailers start restocking their shelves following the brisk Early Bird Thursday, Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping. The company is expecting a 20 percent increase in volume tomorrow on everything from apparel and jewelry, to consumer electronics, housewares and tools.

The company, which boasts 1.6 million registered buyers, is planning to roll inventory out it its warehouses in Texas, Indiana, New Jersey and Nevada. The company has even started hiring seasonal workers to help out.

It remains to be seen whether the record turnout on actual Black Friday will last all season. But it seems evident that inventory is running precariously low on first days of Christmas. Act now before Super Saturday, Sublime Sunday and WTF Wednesday are gone!
