World Peace Day Styles With Bullets4Peace & Others

Bullets4Peace

Peace is breaking out…at least with some jewelry lines.

Bullets4Peace jewelry line makes necklaces out of bullet casings, and it celebrated its third anniversary on Sept. 21, which happens to be World Peace Day. Sex The City’s Mr. Big, Chris Noth, was scheduled to host the party for Bullets4Peace at the Station Hollywood night club at the W Hollywood hotel, where funds will be raised for different humanitarian organizations such as the Israel-based The Peres Center For Peace.

Bullets4Peace founder Rafi Anteby buys his line’s raw material from ammunition reload centers, where the casings can be recycled to make more bullets. Anteby believes his line could prevent at least one bullet used in a crime or a war zone. The L.A-.area-based Bullets4Peace necklaces have been sold at 100 fashion boutiques which include H.Lorenzo, Fred Segal, and Premier Men.

Lisa George Design

Proceeds from sales go to the Wounded Warrior Project, which provides services for seriously wounded veterans.

O'Neill's Heal the Bay shirt

Not exactly related to stopping violence, but for a good cause nonetheless, last month O’Neill released an exclusive T-shirt to raise funds for Heal The Bay, an environmental watchdog which provides the only comprehensive report card on water quality on the West Coast. It’s sold at the O’Neill flagship in Santa Monica. An O’Neill spokesman said the surf label hoped to collaborate on more projects with Heal the Bay.
