DWTS: Busby Berkeley and the Italian Boot

Hi Everyone,

Well, the second elimination is over.

The show started off with a testosterone-laden performance with only the male pros. The ladies loved it—and so did the pros. Can you say, egos?!

Then the stickler for technique, judge Len Goodman, got to pick the best dance of the night. He picked Ricki Lake and Derek Hough to perform their Jive routine again.

The entertainment for the evening was a group called The Script, which pro dancers Dmitry Chaplan and Chelsie Hightower performed. (Dmitry and Chelsie are both alums from the other dance show “So You Think You Can Dance”).

Also, there was a performance by the singer Demi Lovato.

There was also a beautiful dance performance from the Macy’s Stars of Dance in hommage to the Busby Berkeley style (pictured above). The piece was choreographed by a dance friend of mine, Marguerite Derricks.

Now, back to the eliminating of dancers.

Well, I guess Hope still floats. She's been given another chance. The judges proceeded to announce the couples that were safe to dance another day. Eventually, they were down to the bottom three contestants in jeopardy: David Arquette, Chaz Bono and Elisabetta Canalis. (Elisabetta, you know by now, is George Clooney’s ex and the one on my hit list.)

Chaz Bono was the first one saved out of the batch. He gets to dance on bad knees another day. But he may be next to go. He’s on borrowed time.

But, in the end, it was ARRIVEDERCI, BABY! Elisabetta Canalis was eliminated....and I'm happy dancing!

Until next week, keep on dancing!
