R.B. of McD Launch Party at I.Bazaar

R.B. of McD founder John McDavid Lehman III (pictured) is “a sucker” for L.A. Mill Coffee’s orange-infused cappuccino (to wind-up) and Black Black Old Rasputin beer with iced coffee (to wind-down). In the organic way that things happen in Los Angeles, Lehman’s posh R.B. of McD wallet exposed at the coffee bar grabbed the buyer’s gaze and violà! the leather goods are sold at L.A. Mill’s boutique, I.Bazaar.

As an early retail supporter, it was fitting that Lehman would partner with I.Bazaar to host the leather accessory brand’s launch party this Thursday, April 12.
Lehman comes from a branding and marketing background, previously working at Junior Drake and heading his own consulting company Royal Bank of McD. Which means that the leather brand’s distinguishing characteristics were thoughtfully chosen based on what he wanted the brand to represent: hearty cow leather denoting quality and toughness, and shiny gold hardware for a dressed-up “pop” and “pizzazz.” “I always relate leather goods to car doors—that car door, when it slams and there is some weight behind it and you have a solid car. I wanted leather that felt heavy and rich and something that you’re proud to have as your wallet or on your shoulder,” Lehman said. Born and raised in Los Angeles, the city's cultural diversity was a muse for the line. “L.A. doesn’t get enough credit. We have a strong current when it comes to fashion. We’re still trying to find the perfect wording for our style, as of right now it’s that high-low. We’re great at dressing outfits down. I wanted my leather goods to work like that. You can dress it down, you can dress them up.”
