Martin-Vachon Joins HSN

HSN hired Anne Martin-Vachon as chief merchandising officer of the St. Petersburg, Fla.–based interactive multi-channel retailer.

The former Nordsrom executive will lead product development, assortment, pricing, category expansion and merchandising of HSN brands in all product categories; oversee the company’s merchandising strategy, new product offerings and brand partners; and work with the executive team on investment and expansion opportunities.

“With robust television and digital-video platforms, HSN is uniquely positioned to launch new brands, expand established brands into new categories and bring first-of-their-kind products to market,” said Mindy Grossman, chief executive officer for HSN Inc. “The addition of Anne’s proven merchandising and product-development expertise across mass market, specialty and luxury brands will be essential in our ongoing effort to expand our portfolio of differentiated brands and assortment of innovative product to continually engage our customers.”

Martin-Vachon held the same title at Nordstrom Inc., which included marketing, visual merchandising and marketing operations for Nordstrom, Nordstrom.com and Nordstrom Rack. Her career has included executive positions with Lise Watier Cosmetiques Inc. and Bath & Body Works LLC. She started her career at Procter & Gamble, where she held several positions during her 20-year tenure with the personal-care-product giant.—A.A.N.
