Pitney Bowes’ E-commerce Solution Helps Lock In Landed Price at Checkout

Frenchluxury company PPR has a broad mixof international brands, ranging from high-end—Gucci, Bottega Veneta, Yves Saint Laurent, Alexander McQueen, Balenciaga, Brioni and Stella McCartney—to contemporarystreetwear and sports brands, such as Puma, Volcom and Tretorn.

Tofacilitate “a seamless and convenient cross-border purchasing experience foronline shoppers,” the company recently inked a deal with Pitney Bowes Inc. to use the Stamford, Conn.–basedshipping-solutions company’s e-commerce technology and international shippingservices.

PitneyBowes’ ClearPath service will allowPPR’s international buyers to see the guaranteed full landed costs—including duties,taxes and brokerage fees—at the online checkout stage—rather than finding outabout additional fees when the product is delivered.

The company’s services help facilitate international e-commerce transactions with application programming interface Web services for cross-border sales to90 countries. In addition to providing end consumers with the full landed costsat checkout, ClearPath also assists retailers with other services, includingcustoms and brokerage management, import/export management, global shipping, international-address validation, and parcel protection.
