'About Face: Supermodels Then and Now' Takes on Aging Gracefully

About Face: Supermodels Then And Now Trailer

Where would fashion be without the long list of supermodels that have graced the catwalks and covers over the years?

Kate Moss, Helena Christensen, Stephanie Seymour, Cheryl Tiegs and Carol Alt are just some of the names that have promoted the likes of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, Versace and countless other brands.

And who could forget the Fab Five – Linda Evangelista, Cindy Crawford, Christy Turlington, Naomi Campbell and Tatjana Patitz – who rocked their way through George Michael’s video for “Freedom!” in 1990.

A new HBO documentary by veteran filmmaker and photographer Timothy Greenfield-Sanders takes a look at the process of aging for supermodels, as well as some of the thornier issues surrounding fading fame and beauty.

Tiegs, Jerry Hall, Christy Brinkley, Beverly Johnson, Isabella Rossellini and Carmen Dell’Orefice are just some of the mega-models featured in the documentary, which discusses beauty, aging, drugs, plastic surgery and race and their role in the fashion industry.

About Face: Supermodels Then and Now’ airs on HBO throughout the month of August.
