LAS VEGAS—The lingerie and swim offerings at the Aug. 21-23 run of CurveNV at The Venetian included several new brands, including domestic resources as well as international labels.

Portofino, Italy–based Fragolina Pompadour launched in 2009 in Miami, but the company has since relocated overseas and returned to relaunch in the U.S. market at CurveNV.The collection draws inspiration from the 1950s with high-waisted styles and bandeau tops for women and fitted briefs for men in a palette that ranges from candy-colored pastels to bright sherbet shades.

The collection also includes leather tote bags and jelly sandals in similar color stories and 1950s-style sunglasses.“We want to create a total look for the beach—always vintage-inspired,” said Marina De Angelis, manager for the brand, who said she met with buyers “from all over the world” at CurveNV.Los Angeles–based lingerie collection Naked Princess was showing for its second season at CurveNV. National Sales Manager Deanna Fuller described the show as “amazing.”

“We met so many people—both established and new accounts,” she said. This is the second season for the brand, and the collection dubbed “Let the Butterflies Begin” features silk charmeuse and klauber lace.

Many pieces could double as daywear, including a slip dress, rompers and lace shorts, as well as two bodysuits, one in lace with a cowl neckline and another with a surplice top trimmed with a ribbon of lace. This season, the company expanded its soft bra offerings to include a style for larger cup sizes that features an innovative powermesh lining for added lift and more coverage in back. This was the one-year anniversary at CurveNV for Los Angeles–based Claudette.

“We’re known for our bright colors, contrast trim and our fit,” said Western Sales Manager Lindsey Borchard, who said the collection is designed to be an alternative to “boring black, white, beige bras.”

“We want to show women they can put as much thought into their lingerie as their clothing,” she said.

Claudette’s bras range in sizes 30 to 38 and cup sizes A through G. The company is adding a 28-band style after receiving requests for the smaller size from retailers. This season, the company also introduced its first molded-cup bra.

At CurveNV, Borchard said she met with a broad mix of retailers. “We were able to see a lot of customers, including a lot of West Coast and a handful of East Coast and South America,” she said.—Alison A. Nieder
