Cool (Hashtag) Tee, Dude

Exercise your freedom of tweet—you could land a grand.

Ever dream of having your genius immortalized on a T-shirt? Karmaloop hears you. Or, more accurately, the Boston-based streetwear e-tailer is reading your tweets.

The company just launched #tees, a contest to find the best tweet—and it’s opening the competition up to the public to vote. The one with the most votes will end up on a T-shirt sold on Karmaloop.com and the tweet’s author will receive a $1,000 gift certificate. Best of all, there will be more than winner—and the company will select new winners every two weeks.

The rules: submit a tweet—or a friend’s—using the #tees hashtag. Only one per day, but you are free to solicit votes for your tweet. As the company says “Get your votes by blasting it through social media and blogs; shameless self-promotion can’t hurt.”

People are already submitting tweets and the first round of winners are already for sale at Karmaloop.com. To check out the competition or vote for your favorite, check out the #tees page.
