Fashion Business Inc. Names New Boards

Fashion Business Inc., the Los Angeles nonprofit that encourages growth of new businesses in the fashion industry, announced the appointment of a new executive board, board of directors and a members’ advisory board.

“This new group of a selected few brings a wealth of knowledge to Fashion Business Inc.,” said Frances Harder, the founder and president of FBI. “I know that it is this group that will bring Fashion Business Inc. to the next level and beyond.”

In addition to Harder, members of the executive board of directors are Rob Greenspan, head of Greenspan Consult Inc.; and Ernesto Mantilla, co-owner of the Betty Bottom Showroom in the California Market Center. Trish LeBarge-Concannon is executive director of FBI.

On the board of directors are Karalynn Sprouse, vice president of MAGIC International; Martin Hughes of accounting firm Moss Adams LLP; Alicia Estrada, founder and chief executive of the clothing line Stop Staring; Farah Bhatti, an attorney with Buchalter Nemer; Sharon House, partner in Much and House Public Relations; Bryan Kang, founder and chief executive of Rhapsody Clothing; Henry Cherner, managing partner at AIMS; and Teri Watts, founder and president of Shoppista (www.shoppista.com).

On the advisory board are Robert Silverstone, owner of Silverstone Consulting; Eli Pirian, director at Bacci Inc.; Kyle Chamberlain, owner of Seed Theory; Mary Taylor, owner of Odina Surf; Aaron Taylor, co-owner of Odina Surf; Teri Watts; Mark Kim, director at Gaia Enterprise; Caron Block, chairman of the board at UnSpoken Lingerie; Michael Kye, president at The Cut Los Angeles; Suzanne Von Schaack, producer at Modeling Bizz LLC; Noah Landis, creative director and designer at Kent Denim; and Deborah Moser, owner of Deborah Moser Designs. —Deborah Belgum
