EPIC's Mysterious Gathering

Most fashion events require a DJ spinning dance music. But that probably would not work as the soundtrack for avant garde fashion labels such as The Bohemian Society.

When Bohemian Society and fashion label Primitive had a party at the Echo Park Independent Co-op June 7 in Los Angeles’ Echo Park neighborhood, the music was the mysterious violin, accordion and dance collective Los Moribundos.

Violinist David Lupercio wore a Day of the Dead style mask, Accordionist Mujer X played a gypsy-style tune, while a dancer who gave her name as Marilinda graced the floor with her moves. Did I mention the party’s bartender wore Ziggy Stardust-style facepaint? Vive le difference!
