Holiday Mood Set for L.A. Fashion Market

Just in time for the upcoming Holiday fashion market in the Los Angeles Fashion District, is this stunning display of fur vests made by Dolce Cabo, headquartered in Los Angeles.

The display was the idea of Michael Gae, who co-owns the Rep et Trois showroom in the Califonria Market Center and represents Dolce Cabo. He felt there needed to be something festive to greet buyers when they attend fashion market June 11-14 in the various showroom buildings.

"I wanted something theatrical," said Gae. He said he wanted to give store owners an idea of how they can creatively display their merchandise in their store windows this upcoming Holiday season.

"We are supposed to make people excited and bring customers into the store," he said, adding you can't just put clothes on a mannequin, prop it up in the store window and expect people to wander in.

The elaborate display was created with the help of the Melrose International Showroom, a gift showroom on the 12th floor of the C building in the California Market Center.

The gift showroom is one of the brightest and happiest places to visit. They sell faux Christmas trees in some of the wildest colors, and they are decorated all-year round. The gift showroom provided the silver and gold touches to the fur-vest display to add some Holiday cheer.
