Los Angeles Fashion Market Kicks Off With Party and Fashion

What would Los Angeles Fashion Market be without a party and fashon show to mark the debut of four days of buyer visits to the various showroom buidlings in downtown Los Angeles?

This season's party in the lobby of the California Market Center was particularly lively with fashion installations by five designers: Miilla, Chaudry, Mystree, Monoreno and Darling.

The cocktails flowed with Patron tequila concoctions and Frey Vineyards' organic wine. The hors d'oeuvres of vegetarian egg rolls, chicken satay and chocolate dessert were provided by Trader Vic's located at L.A. Live. The nibbles were particularly tasty.

A sizeable crowd turned out, including Chicory, a Louisiana Catahoula leopard dog owned by Brian Thaler, who runs an executive search firm called Scott-Thaler Associates Agency. Chicory was decked out in a yellow boa that added a touch of spring to her dark fur.

Chicory was particularly engaged by the Fall2/Holiday fashions
seen at the show.

Mahli was the DJ at the party.
