Moods of Norway Names Execs for U.S. Expansion

Moods of Norway, an Oslo, Norway–headquartered fashion label with Los Angeles roots, recently announced two new executives to help execute a U.S. rollout.

George Santacroce was named U.S. chief executive, a new position at Moods of Norway.

Aaron Brents was named sales manager USA, said Stefan Dahlkvist, co-founder and designer for Moods of Norway.

Santacroce was doing retail consulting for Moods before this year. His résumé includes a stint as president of retail at Tommy Bahama. He has also held executive positions at Tommy Hilfiger, Aquascutum of London and Bergdorf Goodman. Brents recently worked as U.S. account manager at J.C. Rags.

“We’ve been doing a restructuring,” said Dahlkvist of the label, whose U.S. operations are based in Los Angeles. “We want to take the brand further.” Moods of Norway plans to open more than 10 boutiques in the United States in the next five years. This fall it plans to open a store in New York City.

In 2009 it launched its U.S. flagship boutique at 113 S. Robertson Blvd. in Los Angeles. That outpost currently serves as the label’s only American store.—Andrew Asch
