Billabong's Sneak Peak at Spring 2013

If you're hankering to see what Billabong's cooked up for its Spring 2013 collection, you might want to attend its upcoming Design for Humanity fund-raiser on July 25.

The event is at Paramount Studio's back lot that looks like the streets of New York, which might seem a little odd for showcasing clothes designed with the California surf culture in mind.

The runway show will also feature a number of one-of-a-kind pieces. Expect to see tribal influences in the collection and lots of colors influenced by Guatemalan and Persian textiles, all under the tutelage of Billabong Women's Design Director Mandy Fry. Some of the apparel will be for sale the day of the event.

But fashion isn't the only element that will be on display at the fund-raiser. Plan on hearing lots of music and seeing lots of art. There will be three concert stages set up. Indie rock bands "Walk the Moon" and "Imagine Dragons" will open the event, followed by folk rock band "The Lumineers" and Welsh alternative rock band "The Joy Formidable."

Also expect an art show with works from 25 artists, including Maya Hayuk, Deedee Cheriel, Justin Krietemeyer and Lisa Solberg.

Proceeds from the ticket sales and art auction will be donated to the Chipotle Cultivate Foundation, started in 2011 by the Chipotle Mexican Grill to help support family farms and their communities, educators and farmers trying to develop more sustainable practices.
