LA Fashion Weekend

Los Angeles Fashion Week ended with a bang and plenty of glitz and glamour at L.A. Fashion Weekend’s final showcase, which was produced by Mikey Koffman and held at Sunset Gower Studios on March 18. The event was televised live by KTLA and featured collections by Lizzie Parker, Romeo and Juliet Couture, Alexis Bellino and Tal Sheyn.

Janice Dickinson and cast members from “The Real Housewives of Orange County” were some of the celebrities who walked the red carpet that night. After a spirited performance by pop dance group Hi Fashion, the show opened with a collection of luxury eveningwear co-designed by O.C. reality-star housewife Bellino and Israeli designer Sheyn, which featured an array of sequins, silk and shine in body-hugging mini-dresses and floor-length gowns. The lavish dresses were primarily black, gold and silver, accented by two individual pieces in ruby red and royal blue.

NBC “Fashion Star” designer Lizzie Parker showcased her stylish knitwear collection, featuring belted cardigans, draped pullover tops, cowl-neck dresses and fitted skirts in various shades of ivory, gray, taupe, mustard yellow and eggplant. The one-size-fits-all assortment ranged from casual to elegant.

The show finished with Romeo and Juliet Couture’s Fall collection, inspired by the CW’s “Gossip Girl.” Fitting to the television show, the clothes channeled fun, youthful, downtown glamour, ranging from bohemian striped leggings to flirty cocktail dresses, all paired with sky-high stilettos or heeled boots. Fall colors were accented by fur vests, animal prints and sequins. Afterwards, guests moved on to an after-party at the Mondrian’s SkyBar in West Hollywood.—Deidre Crawford
