Manufacturers Charity Sale Returns to Downtown LA

The Fashion Industries Guild of Cedars-Sinai Medical Center will bring its Manufacturers Charity Clothing Sale back to the Los Angeles Fashion District after an eight-year hiatus.

The sale will be held May 18–19 on the mezzanine of the Cooper Design Space, located at 860 S. Los Angeles St.

The sale will include women’s, men’s and children’s clothing from J Brand, Romeo & Juliet, Heart Soul, Velvet, Karen Kane, Kut, English Laundry and Pink Polkadot. Los Angeles–based flash-sale site Hautelook will also donate merchandise for the sale.

All proceeds from the sale will be donated to the Pediatric Department at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. For 56 years, the Fashion Industries Guild has been raising funds for Cedars-Sinai. The group, which includes fashion-industry professionals, has raised more than $22 million for projects including the Kenny Weinbaum Fashion Industries Guild Pediatric Acute-Care Unit, the Pediatric Neurology and Neurological Development Program, the Neo-Natal Intensive-Care Unit, the Guess? Chair for Community Child Health Care, the Ruth Bregman/Fashion Industries Guild Pediatric Health Clinic and the Ruth Bregman Special Children’s Program, the Florence and Duke Becker Building, the Harvey Morse Conference Center, and the Barney Morse Rehabilitation Center.

“We wanted to bring back the sale for so many reasons,” said Joey Brooks, who, with Deidre Manna-Bratten, is co-chairperson of the charity sale.

“We are especially glad to have the young members make this sale updated and fresh and to continue on with this extraordinary organization.”

The sale will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday, May 18, and from 10 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 19. For more information, visit the Fashion Industries Guild of Cedars-Sinai Facebook page or contact Joey Brooks at joeybrooks@gmail.com.—Alison A. Nieder
