Checkpoint Systems Introduces New EAS Antennas

For its latest range of electronic article surveillance (EAS) antennas, Thorofare, N.J.–based Checkpoint Systems turned to apparel retailers for advice.

The stores were looking for an anti-theft product that did not impede visibility and could blend in with the look of the store. Checkpoint Systems introduced the Classic IP Style, which both features a clear Plexiglas structure and integrated LEDs and is available in customized colors, and the Classic IP Street, a sturdier option made from durable alloy with a slim design and large aisle-width detection. Both featured Checkpoint’s energy-saving Evolve-Eco electronics and remote reporting capability.

According to the Global Retail Theft Barometer, retail theft is at the highest level since 2007, said Per Levin, president and chief sales officer of Shrink Management Solutions at Checkpoint Systems.

“While retail operators understand the need for anti-theft measures, they also expect the systems to complement their store designs and provide much-needed functionality,” Levin said. “We are confident that Checkpoint’s newest range delivers on all fronts, ensuring improved retail store operations, on-shelf availability and consumer shopping experience and to help drive sales.”
