Actor Matthew McConaughey who most of us know from comical films such as Dazed and Confused, his most recent colorful stint Magic Mike and the soon to be released Mud and Dallas Buyers Club, got inspired to launch his own men’s clothing line, JKL.

The debut collection for Spring 2013, All-Journey Gear, is attributed to his “active lifestyle,” McConaughey said, where performance apparel meets everyday menswear. His partnership with Canada's manufacturer Grand National Apparel is known for its work with Perry Ellis, Pacific Trail and Savane.

JKL was designed as an active sportswear collection with a portion of its sales going to support the Just Keep Livin foundation - a non-profit organization McConaughey and his wife founded in 2008 after the passing of his father, which focuses on after-school fitness programs in inner-city high schools.

“I'm starting this brand because it accents a positive. It spreads a good word, creates incentive, puts a smile on my face and it's fun,” McConaughey said.

JKL includes polo shirts, jumpers, waterproof pants and t-shirts, averaging at $49.50. The brand is available now at Dillard's and Dillards.com.
