The Coachella Music and Arts Festival 2013 lineup was released last week, showcasing contemporary artists, as well favorites of yesteryear.

Some of the faces gracing the stage are rock legends Lou Reed (Velvet Underground) and Brit-pop sensations Blur and New Order, including Australian composer Nick Cave & The Bad Seeds who are on hiatus (fingers-crossed they will make an appearance).

Each year, along with the music that guides concertgoers into the desert starry night, there is a fashionable lineup of doyens ready to partake in some fun (and get their photo taken). From style bloggers to celebrities, the free-spirits come out to play and show off their latest threads. Whether it is at a poolside party or a hipster mosh-pit, there is no shortage of women (and men) who take pride in their weekend wardrobe.

And while some look effortless and keep it simple, there are the occasional contrived, disasters. Overall, there is an overwhelming amount of chicness floating about so what’s in trend for this year’s two-weekend affair.

With 2013 line-up concentrated on rock music, and of course, indie bands such as Grizzly Bear and Passion Pit, some might dip-out and skip the boho vibe, keeping it more edgy. The cut-off Levis, tie-dyes, fringe and floppy hats are unstoppable, but maybe dark-colored hues, thrashed tees and worn Converse sneakers or vintage boots will prevail.

You can still make a statement, be whimsical with paisley and floral prints, but less crochet really goes a long way.

Coachella 2013 will take place during the weekends of 12-14 and 19-21 of April. Tickets are set to go on sale on Jan. 29 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time on the Coachella website.
