Since 1984, Barbara Fields has headquartered her trend forecasting and retail consulting operation, Barbara Fields Buying Office, at the California Market Center.

Her busy office always had a family feel to it, and it is growing. Her daughter Amber joined the company earlier this week as executive assistant. “She wants to take over. She wants a Lamborghini,” Barbara joked. But Amber will have to wait for the luxe car. Barbara says that she’ll learn the business from the bottom up.
