MAGIC Market Week Pairs Up With Balluun for Shop the Floor

Finding new lines and innovative clothing will be getting easier at the various apparel and footwear trade shows run by Advanstar Communications, organizer of MAGIC Market Week in Las Vegas.

Advanstar has partnered with Swiss technology company Balluun to operate the new Shop the Floor website, which was initially launched in February.

Registered buyers and retailers will be able to log on for free at www.shopthefloor.com and shop the brands shown by exhibitors. Items they like can be flagged with a heart, which moves the item to the retailer’s personal online look book. Items can be emailed to other team members for feedback.

At the end of the day, the retailer can go back to the personal look book and move items he or she wants to buy to a shopping cart. The order information is then sent to the brand.

Retailers will also have a dashboard, which generates graphical information about everything they bought, including how much they spent.

With Balluun, exhibitors will have a year-round market presence for buyers to access products as well as have access to a mobile app that is in the works.

The Shop the Floor site will be up for the August run in Las Vegas for Advanstar’s WWDMAGIC, MAGIC Men’s, ENKVegas, FN Platform, Sourcing at MAGIC, Pooltradeshow, Project, The Tents@ Project, Project MVMNT and WSA@MAGIC.
