Originally founded in 2008 in Manhattan’s SoHo neighborhood, Suiteshop Showroom opened the doors of its West Coast showroom in January at the Cooper Design Space.
The corner showroom, overlooking the Los Angeles Fashion District, is furnished with white décor and subtle flower arrangements that add just a pop of color to the clean, 1,300-square-foot space.
Suiteshop represents a mixture of high-end to moderately priced designs, including For Love of Lemons, Mlle, Naven, Oneteaspoon, Pencey,Pencey Standard, Plush, Sauce, jewelry line Rose Water, and, newly launched for Fall 2013, Kingsley, a sweater line from Canada.
The collections are “[slightly] different but sit well together,” according to West Coast sales representative Dena Hanks. “A store can buy one line or they can purchase it all,” Hanks said.
There is a wide range of wholesale price points from $29 for printed tees by Sauce to $89 for a Pencey Standard blazer up to Pencey silk dresses at $90 to $150. There are also higher-end pieces such as Mlle’s pytho-sleeve bomber or the leopard calf-hair moto jacket. Both wholesale for $882 and sell in higher-end retailers such as Barneys New York and Cusp by Neiman Marcus.
