The fields of music and fashion attract plenty of the same people. Witness the career of Dee D. Jackson.

In 1978, her album, Cosmic Curves, climbed charts in the UK, Japan and Latin America. She’s continued to release music throughout the years. But recently, her friend, business partner and rapper Christopher Mannor convinced her make T-shirts with her photo archives, which includes a picture from the Cosmic Curves album. The T-shirts, made under the label, Dee D Plus, were shown May 2 at a party at the B by Aperire store at 7708 Melrose Ave. in L.A.

Other Dee D Plus shirts feature a picture of Chuck E Weiss, inspiration for Rickie Lee Jones 1979 hit Chuck E.’s in Love. Some of the shirts feature long sleeves made out of mesh material and others made out of a leather-like material. More to come, Jackson and Mannor guaranteed.
