Kingpins Adds Amsterdam to Trade Show Lineup

Kingpins, the boutique denim sourcing trade show, will head to the Netherlands in 2014 to host its first European edition at Westergasfabriek Amsterdam April 30–May 1.

Launched in 2004, Kingpins hosts shows in New York, Los Angeles and Hong Kong, featuring denim mills and other supply-chain resources from the around the world.

“Bringing Kingpins to Europe has been a long-time dream for us,” said Kingpins founder Andrew Olah. “We have found much success in the United States and Asia and see Kingpins Amsterdam as an opportunity to take our show to the next level. Amsterdam—with its mix of heritage, innovation, creativity and dedication to craftsmanship—reflects the essence of the denim industry—and represents the future of denim. We are excited to support the love of denim in Amsterdam and be inspired by the energy of the city, which is quickly becoming the denim capital of Europe.”

Jason Denham, founder of Dutch brand Denham The Jeanmaker, was enthusiastic about Kingpins’ Amsterdam edition. “Our creative team is very excited that Kingpins is coming to our city,” he said. “Amsterdam is home to many denim enthusiasts who will revel in this. I am sure the city will welcome the show with open arms. This will be a key event in the seasonal calendar. Kingpins and Amsterdam is a perfect match.”
