Trimara Military Technology, a division of Trimera Group, an international branded and licensed apparel company, has introduced (and trademarked) Hellblock, a “military grade flame resistance technology…fused with ultra-soft Pima cotton.
The concept was to meet the industrial requirements for military use but incorporate the performance of activewear with an emphasis on comfort.
“Our goal was to create the perfect marriage of comfort and performance,” said Trimera Group President Amit Tal, in a statement. “Driven by innovation, we approached the problem from a new angle: Let's start with the most comfortable material and then make it FR for the best next to skin garment."
The first item in the Hellblock technology collection is a base layer shirt, which features mesh for ventilation, as well as denser knit in “load bearing areas that provide an extra degree comfort for the soldier.”
Trimara Group owns the Gottex and Christina swimwear brands and is a global licensee for Oakley, BCBGMaxAzria and BCBGeneration swimwear. The company has offices in Montreal, New York, Portland, Ore., Hong Kong and Tel Aviv, and produces apparel “across all categories and for all major channels with distribution spanning more than seventy-five countries on five continents.”
