First-ever Los Angeles Apparel Show Opens at CMC

Not everyone is thrilled to go to the various Las Vegas trade shows to sell their clothing.

To counter Las Vegas, the Korean-American Apparel Manufacturing Association decided to start its own trade show for local designers and factories that want to sell their brand right here in Los Angeles.

Congratulatory banners and flowers greet visitors

The very first Los Angeles Apparel Show opened today (Sept. 9) in the vast penthouse area of the California Market Center. There are more than 100 booths and all kinds of clothing, from evening gowns to street wear.

The show runs through Wednesday and is open to all buyers and visitors.

One of the best things about the show is that on Wednesday, there will be sample sales from 3 pm to 6 pm. Start shopping for the holidays.
