Diane von Furstenberg Comes to The Grove

It seems as if Diane von Furstenberg, the iconic New York designer known for the wrap dress, has been everywhere in Los Angeles lately.

Earlier this year, she had an exhibit at the Wilshire May Company Building adjacent to the Los Angeles County Museum of Art that showcased the history of the famous wrap dress, with scores of DVF wrap dresses on display on mannequins.

Then last month she was at her store at Santa Monica Place to sign copies of her book, "The Woman I Wanted to Be."

Now her newest store has opened at The Grove. It is the first of her emporiums to have a dedicated wrap shop inside, making it a destination for women who know their favorite wrap. It's also a place to learn about the full range of wraps and find one that fits best.

The store is located on The Grove's main thoroughfare where the shopping center's street car passes regularly. The shop has a full range of ready-to-wear including dresses, sportswear and eveningwear, as well as a wide array of accessories, including handbags, shoes, scarves, small leather goods and sunglasses.

The designer has another Los Angeles store on Melrose Avenue as well as one in Orange County at South Coast Plaza and an outpost in Glendale.
