Do you glitch? Perhaps it’s time you started.

Glitch art is “the aestheticization of digital or analog errors, such as artifacts and other "bugs", by either corrupting digital code/data or by physically manipulating electronic devices,” according to Wikipedia.

You can see examples of glitch-inspired fashion at The Creators Project blog, which recently featured pieces from a Japanese exhibition, “Glitch.” (Hat tip to our photo editor Urquiza!)

The Creators Project is a collaboration between Intel and Vice magazine to “[celebrate] visionary artists across multiple disciplines who are using technology in innovative ways to push the boundaries of creative expression.”

The Glitch exhibition kicked off on July 1 at the Tokyo Kaihouku shop, located in the Isetan department store in the city’s Shinjuku neighborhood. The show features “glitch” fashion and accessories.

The Creators Project has several posts about the glitch movement and its impact on fashion—including a super-fun piece on hacking a sewing machine to glitch knit and details about an open-source 3D printer that allows you to knit customized clothing.
