EXECUTIVE MOVES

Lynne Koplin Named President of J Brand

Industry veteran Lynne Koplin, who most recently worked for denim maker True Religion, has been named president of J Brand, another Los Angeles denim maker.

Jeff Rudes, founder of the 10-year-old company that is now 80.1 percent owned by Tokyo-based Fast Retailing Co., will continue on in his role as chief executive officer.

Koplin’s appointment comes as the company plans to roll out its first retail stores and expand into other categories such as accessories.

Koplin’s most recent job was as president of True Religion. She left after the company was acquired by TowerBrook Capital Partners for $835 million. She has had a number of executive positions with swimwear companies such as Apparel Ventures and Warnaco.
