August Getty Atelier’s Fabulous Dinner
The young, the beautiful and the outrageous convened at a fashion shindig for August Getty Atelier at the Montage Beverly Hills last week.
The stated purpose for the dinner at the elegant hotel was to take a look at Getty's Spring 2015 women’s eveningwear. Getty, a scion of the famous oil and philanthropy family, introduced the line at Mercedes Benz New York Fashion Week in September.
While guests viewed Getty’s womenswear, which were placed on mannequins in a vignette at Montage’s Rooftop Grill, they also got a peek at the label’s menswear, which were arranged in a nearby vignette. L.A. Designer William Anzevino worked on the menswear with Getty. He said that the menswear line mixes masculine silhouettes and luxe fabrics.
Getty must have been seeking to throw the perfect party. The guest list mixed A-Listers and rabble rousers. Tyra Banks was on hand. Taylor Spreitler, an actor and producer, made an appearance. Also in the crowd was Vicky Vox; drag queen, entertainer, and a model for designer Marco Marco’s notorious debut in 2013.
