The Day After the Oscars

It was a night of glamor and glitz and a lot of rain, but that didn't keep the fashion from coming at the 87th annual Academy Awards at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood.

There were tons of designer gowns, mostly from East Coast designers. But Octavia Spencer once again wore a gown fashioned by Los Angeles designer Tadashi Shoji, who has been dressing her for some time now. She wore one of his creations in 2012 when she won an Oscar for best supporting actress for the movie "The Help."

This year Octavia was front and center in one of the front rows where she was asked by Academy Award host Neil Patrick Harris to keep her eyes on a locked box on the stage that held his Oscar predictions revealed at the end of the evening.

By Monday morning, the show was but a memory with crews busy dismantling the arrival area outside the theater. Tourists got an opportunity to take their picture in front of a huge Oscar statue.
