Celebrating TV Costumes at FIDM

Actors, costume designers and fashion designers turned out on July 18 for the ninth annual “Outstanding Art of Television Costume Design” exhibition presented by the FIDM Museum at FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising and the Television Academy.

Guests included Emmy-nominated costume designers Salvador Perez (“The Mindy Project”), Lisa Padovani (“Gotham”), Jenny Eagan (“Olive Kitteridge”), Lou Eyrich (“American Horror Story: Freak Show”) and Marie Schley (“Transparent”). Actors Janet Montgomery (“Salem”), Carolyn Hennesy (“General Hospital”) and Beth Grant (“The Mindy Project”) were in attendance, as were many of the cast members of “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” including

Clark Gregg, Chloe Bennet, Elizabeth Henstridge, Henry Simmons, Nick Blood, Simon Kassianides and Iain De Caestecker, who turned out to celebrate the work of costume designer Ann Foley, whose designs are featured in the exhibition.

Among the Emmy-nominated costumes on display are Padovani’s designs for “Gotham,” Perez’s designs for “The Mindy Project” Eagan’s designs for “Olive Kitteridge” and Joanna Eatwell’s designs for “Wolf Hall.”
