Del Amo’s New Macy’s

Del Amo Fashion Center in Torrance, Calif. unveiled a massive renovation this week, and the big revamp at the mall's Macy's called for a new footprint.

The department store consolidated its three former Del Amo locations into two stores. Now, Macy’s runs a four-story building offering women’s and children’s goods at the north end of the mall. For its second spot, there’s a three story Macy’s building housing men’s and home goods by Del Amo’s new food court.

A new look means new departments for the Macy’s. The Del Amo Macy’s will feature an expanded 23,000-square-foot women’s shoe department. There’s a 5,000-square-foot department for handbags, which feature shops for Calvin Klein, Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors and Coach bags.

Macy’s new look also features expanded apparel floors. There’s a new “I Do” bridal shop. Also look out for new brands such as Kate Spade in the Home department, Vince Camuto and Karen Kane in Ready-To-Wear and Cole Haan in Women’s shoes.
