Mens Folio: A First at South Coast Plaza

Pundits say that men’s fashion is becoming more important, and here’s some proof.

South Coast Plaza, one of California’s most high end retail centers, is publishing a lookbook devoted solely to men’s styles, said Debra Gunn Downing, executive director of marketing for the Costa Mesa, Calif.-based luxury resort.

Called Men’s Folio, the lookbook will showcase men’s styles from nine-luxury brands which run important boutiques at South Coast Plaza. The folio brands will be Berluti, Boss , Burberry, Dolce & Gabbana, Salvatore Ferragamo, Giorgio Armani, Louis Vuitton, Oliver Peoples and Ralph Lauren.

The Men’s Folio will receive a wide distribution. This month, copies will be delivered to 100,000 residences in select newspapers delivered by The Wall Street Journal and The New York Times.

To toast the event, South Coast Plaza and Berluti, a LVMH company, will hold an event on Sept. 24. The in-house master colorist of Berluti, a Paris-heritage footwear and clothing house, will unveil a leather patina exclusively available at its South Coast Plaza store.
