Celebrating its 60th anniversary, Gottex introduced its Cruise 2017 collection on July 16 at the W South Beach hotel during Miami Swim Week with a mix of the brand’s classic style elevated with bold metallics and racy silhouettes. Helmed by a young new designer, Keren Gesner, Gottex’s Contour line of swimsuits featured the curve-hugging, shapely styles signature to the brand, in simple black and cream color schemes. More contemporary suits offered plunging necklines, sheer panels and fringe detailing.

The line’s more colorful pieces were influenced by nature’s kaleidoscopic color schemes. Bikinis and cover-ups featured the glass-like patterns of a butterfly wings. A feminine, lace-up dress in multihued wildflowers was designed for resort-ready shoppers while the halter-neck “Pavone” swimsuit was printed with the vibrant, iridescent hues of a peacock’s outstretched tail.
